Our intensive Spanish programs combine four hours of daily instruction with opportunities to practice Spanish in real-life situations throughout El Cangrejo and Vía Argentina, one of Panama City’s most convenient and international neighborhoods.

Learn Spanish in the Heart of Panama City
Spanish Panama Language School is located on Vía Argentina in El Cangrejo, one of Panama City’s most convenient neighborhoods for international students. Our location puts cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, parks, and the Panama Metro within easy walking distance.
This is also an ideal environment for language immersion. Students can leave class and immediately practice the Spanish they have learned while ordering lunch, shopping, taking the Metro, meeting local people, or simply exploring the neighborhood.
Three Intensive Spanish Program Options
Option 1: Intensive GROUP Spanish Program
Ideal for students who enjoy learning with others while receiving plenty of individual attention. With a maximum of just four students per class, our small-group Spanish program combines personalized instruction with conversation, interaction, and the opportunity to meet other international students.

Schedule: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students may also participate in eligible FREE Saturday Tours & Cultural Activities.
Group Size: Maximum of 4 students.
Focus: Speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and practical Spanish for real-life situations. Because our groups are so small, teachers can adapt lessons whenever possible to the individual needs, interests, and Spanish levels of the students.

Option 2: Intensive PRIVATE One-on-One Program
Ideal for students who want maximum flexibility, personal attention, or faster progress. Private Spanish lessons are completely personalized around your current level, learning style, schedule, professional needs, interests, and personal goals.

Personalized Learning: Your teacher can concentrate on the areas most important to you—conversation, pronunciation, grammar, professional Spanish, everyday communication, relocation needs, or preparation for living and working in Panama.
FREE Saturday Activities: Eligible intensive private students may participate in our Saturday Tours & Cultural Activities, providing additional opportunities to practice Spanish outside the classroom.

Option 3: Total Spanish Immersion — 6-Hour Fast Track
Designed for highly motivated students who want to make maximum progress in a limited amount of time. Combine your morning Intensive Group or Private Program with additional one-on-one Spanish lessons in the afternoon or evening.
This gives you the opportunity to enjoy the interaction of a small group while receiving additional private instruction focused entirely on your individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Students who prefer completely private instruction may also create a six-hour-per-day one-on-one immersion program.
Additional Private Instruction: $220 for each additional 10 hours.
More Than Spanish Classes — Your Introduction to Life in Panama
For many students, Spanish Panama Language School is one of their first connections to Panama. Some arrive for a one-week Spanish course; others are exploring Panama as a possible place to live, retire, work, invest, or start a new chapter of their lives.
Our small classes, social breaks, cultural activities, and real-world Spanish practice create natural opportunities to meet other international students while learning from teachers and local Panamanians.
Start Dates: Most intensive Spanish courses begin every Monday. If your travel schedule requires a different starting day, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

At Spanish Panama Language School, learning Spanish doesn’t end when class finishes. Our FREE Saturday Tours & Cultural Activities give eligible students additional opportunities to practice Spanish while discovering Panama City, its culture, history, neighborhoods, natural environment, and everyday life.
These activities are part of our Urban Spanish Lab™ approach—taking the Spanish you learn in class and putting it into practice in real situations.
Speak with your teachers and fellow students. Ask questions in Spanish. Order food. Navigate the city. Learn about Panamanian history and culture. Most importantly, begin using Spanish as a language for everyday life rather than simply as a subject studied in a classroom.
Who Can Participate?
FREE Saturday Tours & Cultural Activities are available with selected Spanish programs:
Intensive Spanish Programs: Students completing at least 20 hours of Spanish instruction per week receive one free Saturday activity for each week of intensive study.
50-Hour FLEX or Regular Group Programs: Students enrolled in an eligible 50-hour program may participate in one free Saturday activity.
Reservations: Please reserve your place with the school office by Tuesday morning.
Personal Expenses: The guided activity is free. Students are responsible for their own meals, refreshments, entrance tickets, transportation costs when applicable, and other personal expenses.
Activities normally take place on Saturday but may occasionally be moved to another day. Because these are optional group activities, missed activities cannot be rescheduled individually.
Explore Panama While Practicing Spanish
Saturday activities change from week to week. Destinations are selected for their cultural, historical, environmental, or practical value—and for the opportunities they provide students to use Spanish naturally outside the classroom. Along the way, students hear authentic Spanish while teachers help them understand vocabulary, context, and meaning.
1. Casco Antiguo & Amador Causeway
Explore historic Casco Antiguo and continue to the Amador Causeway for spectacular views of Panama City and the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Along the way, practice conversational Spanish while discovering two of Panama City’s most recognizable destinations.
2. Panama Canal & Cultural Experience
Visit the world-famous Panama Canal while learning about one of the most important engineering achievements in modern history. Spanish-language exhibits, presentations, and conversations create additional opportunities to practice listening and comprehension.
3. Panama City Neighborhood & Relocation Tour
Particularly useful for expats, retirees, professionals, entrepreneurs, and students considering living in Panama. Explore some of Panama City’s best-known residential areas while learning the Spanish vocabulary useful for apartments, neighborhoods, transportation, shopping, renting, and everyday life.

4. Veracruz Pacific Beach Experience

5. Ancón Hill & Mi Pueblito
Discover Panama City’s natural and cultural heritage with a visit to Ancón Hill and nearby Mi Pueblito. Practice Spanish while learning about Panama’s history, traditions, wildlife, and changing city landscape.
6. Chagres River, Fort Sherman & Caribbean Coast
Explore another side of Panama with an excursion toward the Chagres River, historic Canal Zone locations, and the Caribbean coast. Activities vary according to conditions and the day’s itinerary.
7. Soberanía National Park & Gamboa
Experience Panama’s extraordinary tropical environment in and around Soberanía National Park and Gamboa. The excursion combines nature, Canal Zone history, conversation, and opportunities to practice Spanish beyond the city.
