Spanish Panama Language School — El Cangrejo, Via Argentina, Panama City
Spanish Panama Language School has been teaching Spanish and English to international students in El Cangrejo for many years. Our students come from all over the world — travelers, retirees, expats, diplomats, and professionals who want to communicate in real life, not just pass a grammar test.
We work in small groups of no more than four students at a time. Our approach combines structured classroom learning with real-world practice in the neighborhood around us — the cafes, parks, restaurants, and streets of Via Argentina become part of the lesson. The goal from day one is genuine communication and confidence.
If you are someone who genuinely enjoys working with people from other countries, takes pride in Panamanian culture, and wants to be part of a school that does things differently, we would like to hear from you.
We are always interested in meeting qualified Spanish teachers who want to work with adult international students. Most of our students are complete beginners. They are often nervous, motivated, and arriving in Panama for the first time. The right teacher for our school knows how to make people feel comfortable speaking from the very first class.
We teach morning, afternoon, and evening schedules depending on student demand. Compensation varies by role, format, and schedule and is discussed during the interview process.
On a selective basis, we offer English classes to executives, professionals, and corporate clients in Panama City. These classes are often conducted at client offices, online, or at our school in El Cangrejo. We look for English teachers who bring the same warmth and professionalism we expect from our Spanish teaching team.
Compensation for English instruction varies by format, location, and schedule. Details are discussed during the interview.
A central part of our teaching methodology involves guided interaction in the real neighborhood around our school. We occasionally work with people who can lead cultural activities, neighborhood walks, market visits, cafe conversations, and other real-world immersion experiences for our students.
If you have a deep connection to Panamanian culture, a natural storytelling ability, and enjoy introducing Panama to curious visitors, we would be glad to hear from you. Formal teaching experience is not required for this role.
We are a small school run by people who are focused entirely on teaching. From time to time we are interested in connecting with people who have skills in areas such as photography, short video editing, social media content, or digital communication — particularly people who already have some connection to education, language, or the Panama City neighborhood we work in.
If you have experience with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or video editing tools and you also have a background in teaching or education, feel free to mention this when you write to us.
If any of the above sounds like a good fit for you, please send us a brief message. We are not looking for long formal applications. A short, honest note about who you are and why you are interested is the best way to start.
You may also mention any additional skills that could be relevant — cultural knowledge, digital skills, experience with specific student types, or anything else you feel is worth sharing.
