Clases de Portugués en Panamá: Estamos informando a los interesados que el próximo curso de Portugués a iniciar sería para lunes 10 de junio (lunes y miércoles 7 p.m. -9 p.m.).

En respuesta a la demanda por la calidad de escuelas de inglés en Panamá, actualmente estamos ofreciendo cursos de inglés en la ubicación más céntrica de Panamá; Vía Argentina, El Cangrejo.

También estamos ofreciendo clases de inglés en Panamá especializado a los negocios en la ciudad de Panamá; en oficinas, hoteles y residencias.

Los programas de inglés en Panamá estarán especialmente enfocados a lo que llamamos “Inglés de Negocios” o clases de inglés para ejecutivos en Panamá.

Spanish Panama tiene una reputación por ofrecer clases de idiomas en Panamá que son especialmente personalizadas, de manera que las clases en nuestros programas de inglés se mantendrán más pequeñas de lo que realmente se acostumbra en Panamá y los profesores de inglés serán una mezcla de talentos norteamericanos, ingleses, canadienses, asociados a los mejores profesionales panameños que tiene para ofrecer la ciudad de Panamá.

In response to demand for quality English schools in Panama, we are currently offering English courses in Panama City at Panama’s most central location; Via Argentina, El Cangrejo.

We are also offering specialized English classes to Panama businesses at offices, hotels, or at homes. English programs will be especially focused on what is called “Business English” or English classes for professionals in Panama. We also offer general English classes for all English levels.

There is also new signage at the start of Via Argentina, Panama’s most Bohemian (but fashionable) street. It’s a great street to walk, only 5 blocks long, and has around 20 cafes, bars, and restaurants. You’ll find lots of favorite hangouts for Spanish Panama students studying Spanish.

And Avenida Balboa is becoming a must see in Panama, a beautiful coastline walk from the modern city to the colonial city of Casco Viejo. A stop at the fish market for a cup of ceviche ($2) is well recommended. There’s also great seafood upstairs.

Every year in April Panama hosts EXPOCOMER where about two to three thousand businesses host a display at ATLAPA Convention Center. This year the international fare and trade show will be held from April 17 to 20.

There is an expat gathering once every month held by the American Society of Panama in which expats meet at different local restaurants, usually around 7 in the evening.  You can contact Joy Schaffer 67476762 from the American Associations for more in details.

Internations, a 300 c0untry organization has monthly activities for expats in Panama City.

The IFF International Film Festival of Panama is now a yearly event and this year there is a flood of quality movies starting from April 11 to April 17 at different locations around the city.

Now the Ironman 70.3 km triathlon is a yearly event, aound February, beginning and ending in the beautiful scenic Amador Causeway.

There is a RESTAURANT week in Panama every April. This year it is April 15 to April 30 (well, 2 wks) and will showoff 20 mostly international restaurants in Panama. Things start off at “Restaurante Tastes” at Hotel Riu.

Acobir (Panamanian Association of Real Estate Agents) has a real estate fair every year at the Atlapa Convention Center, usually in January. There are hundreds of projects displayed at these fairs, and even the convention center, itself, is on sale!

There is also the Panama Jazz Festival (founder Danilo Perez) held in January, and Carols by Candlelight (founder David Young) held just before Christmas, of course.

SpanishPanama is offering English classes to local Panamanians and those wanting to learn English as a second language (ESL). If you are qualified and are interested in teaching English part-time please send us your resume.

Spanish Panama is raising awareness and funds as well as offering its Spanish students volunteering opportunities at a children’s orphanage in Panama called “Asilo de la Infancia” or  ”Hogar del Infancia”. This is located along Avenida Balboa and run by some very caring Catholic nuns.

Right now there is a need for someone to come in and do some volunteer teaching from 1:15pm to 2:30pm Wednesdays. This is open to anyone who would like to teach any subject or life skills material that these children may need.

You may also open your heart by bringing along goods that you may want to share with these children when you enroll at Spanish Panama or when you come in on a daily basis for your Spanish classes. The staff will show you how to get there or may accompany you to the orphanage. These may include gifts from Panama or from abroad (from your home country) such as scribblers, pencils, books (children’s books in English or Spanish), clothes (second hand or new), toys, computers and computer related learning materials, health materials, or anything that you think the children or their families may need. Many of these children come from families around Panama with bad economic conditions.
