Panama, a taste of the tropics and a new state of mind
"a river that would soon no longer exist as I was seeing it. Construction is underway to dam it for hydroelectric power to support development spurred by a Panamanian policy that encourages foreign settlement. For a $300,000 investment in Panamanian banks, business or real estate, Americans can gain citizenship - and a long list of benefits that include no taxes on foreign earned income, fewer business regulations and a high quality of living for less than in the U.S."

Major US companies as Hewitt Packard, Proctor & Gamble , Caterpillar and General Electric to relocate their HQ here
Good News for Tourism : A development that will increase tourism: Law 41, a Panamanized version of a Singapore law that provides major incentives for foreign corporations to establish their headquarters in Panama. In Singapore, this law brought 6000 businesses. Already in Panama, the law has caused such major US companies as Hewitt Packard, Proctor & Gamble , Caterpillar and General Electric to relocate their HQ here. Some of them are bringing hundreds of employees. I believe more and more companies will be coming under this law and of course all these foreign employees will want to do tourism. Over the longer term, the foreigners that live in the 20,000 new homes in the Howard mega-project that breaks ground in 2008, will also want to do tourism. "

Denver Post Article 11/18/2008
……. Favored among many dreamers is the cluster of countries forming Central America, from Mexico to Costa Rica, where gringo dollars go a long way in a warm climate suited to year – round outdoor endeavors. They visit for weeks, seeking a connection to the culture and almost always asking at some point: How can I make this dream last? Jim Omer appears to have found an answer.
SECRET
"Only slightly larger than Ireland, the narrow isthmus may qualify as North America's best-kept adventure-travel secret, unrivaled on our continent in its diversity"
BIRDS AND ANIMALS
"The country is home to 940 bird species, more than in all of North America, and its dense forests contain the greatest number of animal species of all the countries north of Colombia".
ISLANDS AND FISH
"There are 1,518 mapped islands off its coasts, where Panama lives up to its Indian name meaning "abundance of fish." Its Pacific waters lay claim to more deep-sea fishing records than anywhere in the world".

STABLE "Panama is booming, in fact it has been booming for some time now. Those who missed the boat in Miami and found Costa Rica inadequate and too costly, set their sights on this sliver of a country that since the strongman Manuel Noriega was deposed in 1989 has been a model of stability."

Panama is THE Place for Tourism (translated)
The breeze of the trade winds were caressing the waves when a hungry wahoo, sailfish swift family, bit the bait causing a brief twang of the line as it quickly disappeared under the water. My heart jumped and pounded until I grabbed the rod and in a fierce and bitter struggle for almost an hour, managed to catch my prey which is nicknamed the Rolls Royce of the seas. They say the difference between a boy and a man is the price of their toys. This toy is priceless. That is Panama!

"Last Thursday we went fishing with Captain Skip Nielsen, visiting from Islamorada in the Florida keys and training the local fishing cadre. Less than an hour later, I felt the tremendous jerk and pull from a 79 lb. wahoo. After a 50-minute battle and totally exhausted (the wahoo and I), we pulled him in. Wahoo meat is the Rolls Royce of the ocean!"

MATILDE MENDEZ A. – Presidente Fundadora HABITAT PARA LA HUMANIDAD PANMA
